Prospect Studios – Brisbane/Australia

Prospect Studios is a new co-working space on the edge of Brisbane’s vibrant creative precinct, Fortitude Valley. In a beautiful converted warehouse, it provides desks and meeting areas making it the perfect place to create, work and think. We were engaged to create the positioning, design idea and total visual identity.

The starting point for the idea was the name, Prospect Studios, which we shortened to PS. - relating to post script - as in something important, relating to communication and work. PS allowed us to have fun and be witty with the overall idea, bringing meaning to overall identity and space name. We purposefully selected a very functional typeface and colour palette that reflected the idea of post script and didn’t detract from the space and membership options available.

Typography: The identity was purposefully reductive, meaning the selection of a typeface had
to be carefully considered. After careful consideration we selection Apercu Mono due to both its visual appearence and ability to link back to our original idea of 'Post Script' linking both the digital and print idea.

Tone of Voice: The language framework developed as part if the identity became intrinsic to the overall identity. Giving the opportunity to be playful and irreverent within the confines of the identity system. Based on phrases that begin with a P and S, or using the traditional latin meaning 'post scriptum' (written after).

They just got on with it. Made by Big listened and delivered on our vision, which is much harder than people think. I enjoyed both the process and outcome and always look forward to working with them.
